Te Hui-a-Tau
Ka tu te Te Hui-a-Tau ki Poneke i tenei tau, mai i te 8 ki te 11 0 Mei, 2003.
Te Hui-a-Tau is being held in Wellington this year, 8 - 11 May, 2003.
ano tatou e arahi.
At 5:00pm on the 8th, we will be formally welcomed to the conference. Some
regions have already organised their kaikorero and kaikaranga. We will move onto the marae under their wing -
they will guide us.
Ka mutu te whaikorero, ka waiata, a, ma te ropu o te kaikorero tena e kawe.
When each speech is completed it will be followed by a waiata, this will be lead by the speaker's
group.
Kia mutu katoa nga korero o te pae manuhiri, e tika hoki te whakatakoto koha.
It is appropriate to lay the koha when the speakers from the ope manuhiri
have completed their speeches.

| The Hauhake Crew, Far North Hui, 2003 |
Hauhake Hui
We'll be together a number of times before this session begins, however it's always
good to have a little prior notice about the program. Basically, we'll celebrate the FIRST hauhake session ever held at a
National Conference anywhere in the world! ... then we'll calm down, and someone will speak to the ropu about
the wonderful Far North Hui. Some of this korero is available on "Far North Hui".
There are a couple of interactive activities planned so that it's not just talktalktalk
- we have at least three little 'things' that you'll have to contribute to, and one of them is a waiata. Don't worry -
you won't be asked to stand up by yourself, ... I think?!?
We'll try and collate all the communication info that we need, so that the Hauhake Aka Kumara (that's
Kumara Vine to the monoglots in the house). It's really important that you have a say in things, so check out the
Pa Korero, before Conference, and be there at the Hauhake session, at Conference.
